Packing and partying!

Well, we're down to the last week... and it's been full of packing and partying.  My friends were kind enough to throw me an amazing going away party (at which I forced them into this grade school style group photo) which was a lot of fun but also very bittersweet.  It made me realize how much I'm going to miss everyone!  Now the next challenge is figuring out exactly what is going to make it into my backpack and what is going to have to be left behind... it's a work in progress but it seems like there are way too many pills in there so far.  I seem to have a drug for anything and everything I could possibly contract which is a bit ironic since it's probably easier to get all of these drugs over there...  ;)

Testing this out

So everyone is asking me to start a blog... so here goes.  I have no idea if I'll keep this up but I'm about 3 weeks from leaving on my big trip and it's slowly sinking in.  First stop will be Hong Kong but I have no idea where I'll end up or how long I'll stay in places.  It's going to be a wing-it kind of trip with the goal of figuring out where I want to be and what I want to do next.  I don't think I'll post too often but I'll try to keep the writing to a minimum and instead post cool photos that will hopefully tell my story for me.  We'll see how that goes...
